THE NEW SINGLE

Yoooo another song? YEAH. And this one is one of my favourite songs I've ever made. Growing up queer, I’ve often found myself in complicated dynamics where others want to explore their sexuality with me, without considering the emotional cost when they leave.
This song tells the story of one of those relationships—the unspoken tension, the lingering looks, the moment you say the thing you’re not supposed to say, and the inevitable letdown.
I also teamed up with a long time bestie of mine, incredible actor and director Luca Sardelis, to bring this story to life on film. The music video will make you blush and break your heart, and I hope you love it as much as I do.
Just because you made it to my website, here's a little sneak peak xx
THE SINGLE

OUT NOW

It’s finally time to share some news. I’ve been in the studio creating some of the best music of my life, and this new song is the first glimpse into a body of work that feels both deeply personal and gloriously alive.
I HOPE YOU’RE WATCHING is my raw reply to the kinds of relationships that need you to be down so they can feel high. In both the writing and the production, I wanted to create space to sit with that uncomfortable, stagnant, and often unspoken feeling — to let it breathe, then release it.
There’s a real catharsis in putting that energy into the world — something I’ve been working to purge from my own life. I hope listeners, especially those who love pop in Australia, will find something new and refreshing in the sonic landscape of this song. It’s the most excited I’ve ever been to share a piece of music.
I’ve also teamed up with some of my favourite people to make a music video!!! I had a vision of myself bleeding out on a therapist’s couch — a little dark, a little dramatic — and I brought that idea to Charlotte Dirckze and Campbell Stiff from We’d Stare Too. They said yes (and then some), and together we brought that vision to life.
Like so many artists, I’ve always had a strong visual identity tied to my music, so creating this video was an absolute dream come true.
I asked my fabulous and incredibly talented cousins to star in the film, and they truly made it what it is. When I tell you I have take after take after take of my youngest cousin Phoebe (who plays the therapist) improvising the most hilariously judgmental therapy sessions, you’ll understand why editing this was such a challenge — every take was gold.
Anyway, I’m rambling — here are some pictures from the day. I really hope you love the song and video. And when someone is begging for you to be small just to make themselves feel bigger, I hope you take up space, stand in your truth, and make sure they’re watching while you do it — in all your glory.
