GOOD PERSON
I wrote this song about the deeply good people in my life. The phrase "the deep end isn't fatal when you back my survival" is almost a mantra. I am so grateful for the love and support and care I've been shown by my people, and they make me feel like I can do anything.
I don't have a deep desire to get married, but I make a joke about it in this song, saying "you make me wanna get married to call you my best man". I am more looking forward to officially calling someone my best man than I am to be married. I love it. AND I love you xx
THE DEEP END ISN'T FATAL, WHEN YOU BACK MY SURVIVAL
LYRICS
You make me wanna get married
To call you my best man
Coz the deep end isn’t fatal
When you back my survival
Coz the deep end isn’t fatal
When you back my survival
You’re what I’d call a good person
Your heart is in the right place
You take the light and turn it
Into something more refined
You will grow at your own pace
Collect the dreams you missed and
You make me wanna get married
To call you my best man
You’re a back seat angel
It’s a long way down from here
But the view must look electric
God you’re so magnetic
It’s a way too finer line
Coz I know you’re nervous
You worry at night
But I’m just glad that you’re alive
You’re what I’d call a good person
Your heart is in the right place
You take the light and turn it
Into something more refined
You will grow at your own pace
Collect the dreams you missed and
You make me wanna get married
To call you my best man
You’re the headline glory
You’re the dream that wants me
To swim where I can’t stand
Coz the deep end isn’t fatal
When you back my survival
In the bed sheet fort I land
Coz you know I’m anxious
And you know I’m tired
But I’m just glad that you’re alive
You’re what I’d call a good person
Your heart is in the right place
You take the light and turn it
Into something more refined
You will grow at your own pace
Collect the dreams you missed and
